Mindset Announces Partnership with Ministry of Education
We're thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports to expand coding and robotics education across Uganda.
Mindset is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports aimed at expanding access to coding and robotics education across Uganda.
This collaboration will see the integration of coding and robotics into the curriculum of 100 government schools over the next two years, potentially reaching over 50,000 students. The initiative aligns with the national ICT policy and the government's vision to prepare Ugandan youth for the digital economy.
Under this partnership, Mindset will:
- Provide teacher training in coding and robotics
- Develop curriculum materials aligned with national education standards
- Supply affordable robotics kits to participating schools
- Organize national coding and robotics competitions
"This partnership represents a significant step toward our goal of making quality STEM education accessible to all Ugandan children," said our Executive Director. "By working with the Ministry, we can reach students in both urban and rural areas, ensuring that no child is left behind in the digital revolution."
The Honorable Minister of Education and Sports expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, "This partnership with Mindset will help equip our students with the digital skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. We are committed to transforming our education system to meet the demands of the modern workforce."
The program will begin with a pilot in 20 schools in the Central Region in September 2023, with plans to expand to other regions in 2024.
